Peter Wang (Chairman & Chief Executive Officer)
Mr.
Wang was a co-founder of Unitech Telecom (now named UTStarcom). Under
his management, UTStarcom created the first digital loop carrier system
and installed the first PHS system in China. As an entrepreneur, he has
successfully co-founded and built other ventures in the US, including
World Communication Group and World PCS, Inc. Mr. Wang has more than 20
years of experience in communication products and services. Mr. Wang is
Co-Chairman of Business Advisory Council of the National Republican
Congressional Committee and is an independent director of PacificNet
Inc. In 2004, Mr. Wang received the Outstanding 50 Asian Americans In
Business award for his entrepreneurial achievement and technology
leadership in telecommunications industry.
Mr. Wang holds a B.S. in Math & Computer Science and
a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois, as well as
an MBA in Marketing from Southeast-Nova University.
Charles Xue (Director)
Prior to co-founding Techedge, Mr. Xue was Chairman
and co-founder of UTStarcom and most recently served in the position of
Vice-Chairman for the Company. Mr. Xue is Chairman and founder of
8848.net, a leading e-commerce site in China. Mr. Xue is one of the most
successful private investors among Chinese Americans, and has held board
positions in more than ten companies in the US and Asia.
Mr. Xue holds an M.A. in Asian Studies from
University of California at Berkeley and is a graduate of Beijing
Academy of Social Science Master’s program.
Ya Li (Director & Chief Financial Officer)
Mr.
Li was COO of the firm from 2002 to 2004. He was formerly
founder/Chairman/CEO of Global Villager Inc., which was acquired by
ethnic telecom carrier Startec Global Communications Inc. in 2000.
Mr. Li had worked in information, telecom, and
financial industries for Bell Atlantic, DLJ, Lehman, & Morgan Stanley, &
served as Director for Chinese Finance Society and Council on U.S.-China
Affairs.
Mr. Li received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from
University of Science & Technology of China, a M.S. in Computer Science
from Temple University, and Executive Management education from Wharton
School of Business.
